VESTAL Corporation is seeking an experienced ARCHITECT to join our growing team of outstanding professionals. Senior Project Architect duties include managing client relationships, leading teams of architects, planning, designing, and observing construction of building structures and facilities.
Typical responsibilities include:
Analyze and develop solutions in response to project objectives, program requirements, and budget of a project interactively with design team and clients,
Participate in various predesign services, such as feasibility studies, site selection analyses, cost analyses, and design requirements documentation,
Develop schematic, design development and final construction documents that show the building’s appearance and details for its construction,
Develop project specifications as required,
Research state and local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other ordinances, including the ADA,
Generate solutions which respond to client’s environmental and sustainability goals,
Periodically visit building sites to ensure that contractors follow the design intent, use the specified materials, and meet work quality standards,
Collaborate with Team Leader, Project Manager, Project Architect, and various engineering disciplines to develop creative, elegant, and efficient solutions.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualities:
Strong creativity and visualization skills,
Design enthusiasm while technically motivated and energized by problem-solving,
Architectural programming, space planning, blocking, and stacking expertise.
Graduate of an NAAB accredited program; Bachelor of Architecture minimum degree,
NCARB Architectural registration in the State of Missouri or Illinois,
Large project / industrial experience is very desirable,
Expertise in Autodesk REVIT 2020 Architecture, AutoCAD software preferred,
Strong knowledge of building codes and standards,
Experience with BlueBeam Revu, and Revizto programs,
Construction cost estimating skill set utilizing WinEst is a plus,
Experience with MS Office Suite of software – particularly Teams, Word, Excel, and Power Point,
Ability to travel 25%,
Professional demeanor, excellent teamwork ability, and excellent written, graphic, and verbal communication skills are all prerequisite for consideration.
